The first three seats to be awarded by an online poker site were won in the final tournament of the Bodog Poker Mini Series, a 25-tournament series mirroring the Holdem events at the World Series in Las Vegas, but with buy-ins equal to just one percent of the actual buy-in of the WSOP* Main Event.
Poker players, “pokerfanx789”, “dudix” and “Boswan,” were each awarded $12,000 VIP Prize Packages to the 2009 Main Event and the chance to compete for millions as a member of Team Bodog.
The TOC of the Bodog Mini Series included the top four players on the tournament leader board; 18 players from the semifinal qualifier and five selected from a random "wild card" drawing. The Final Table was on July 10, where the top three finishers were awarded $12K Main Event Prize Packages with the final nine players receiving T$109.
With buy-ins that ranged from as low as $10+$1 to $100+$9, the Bodog Poker Mini Series was an exceptional value for players of all skill levels. Over the course of the series, Bodog played host to 3,376 online poker players and paid out a total of $107,000 in prize money.

55-year-old Bodog casino and poker player, Howard G. of Houston, Texas was playing "Victory" slots in the Bodog casino when the reels spun and revealed four "captains" and a "ship." Acting as a wild card, the "ship" was the equivalent of five "captains," which paid out 10,000 credits and, at $5 a line, earned Howard an impressive $50,000.
Howard then made his big score on a free spin which turns any "ship" into a four times multiplier. This turned his impressive $50,000 win into an incredible $200,000 jackpot!
Bodog's entertainment blog interviewed the $200,000 online casino slot jackpot winner, who said "It just happened pretty fast. I barely reacted. I just saw all those dollars start to pile up there really fast." When asked about the entire experience, he said, "It was pretty amazing."
Howard isn't the only lucky Bodog Casino player to strike it big in recent months. Bodog is providing a variety of prop bets for the World Series of Poker* in the Bodog Sportsbook and there has been plenty of interest in the WSOP blogger props.
DrPauly of Tao of Poker asked what Bodog oddsmakers were smoking when they posted the WSOP prop bet asking what poker bloggers will win the most money in the Main Event of the 2008 WSOP.
With the line set on Pauly being 16/1, he is up against the likes of Daniel Neugreanu, Shane "Shaniac" Schleger, Brian Townsend, Eric "Rizen" Linch, Justin Bonomo, $mokkee (the Bodog Blogger Tournament Host) and others.

GoldenHammer then tanked before calling off almost half his stack with an A-6o. The Poker Gods were unkind to poker blogger ScottMC and GoldenHammer scooped up the pot hitting a runner-runner flush.
